Step 1<\/strong> – Login to your WordPress Administration Panel (Dashboard). Your menu is now defined and now you can add pages to it (steps below).<\/p>\n The Screen Options allow you to choose which items you can use to add to a menu. Certain items, like Posts are hidden by default. The Screen Options are located in the top right corner of your WordPress Dashboard.<\/p>\n Step 1<\/strong> – Locate the pane entitled Pages. Your custom menu has now been saved.<\/p>\n Once you’ve created a menu and filled it with items, it’s time to assign it to one of the theme pre-defined locations.<\/p>\n Step 1<\/strong> – Go to Appearance > Menus and click Manage Locations<\/strong>. \nStep 2<\/strong> – From the ‘Appearance’ menu on the left-hand side of the Dashboard, select the Menus<\/strong> option to bring up the Menu Editor.
\nStep 3<\/strong> – Select Create a new menu at the top of the page.
\nStep 4<\/strong> – Enter a name for your new menu in the Menu Name<\/strong> box.
\nStep 5<\/strong> – Click the Create Menu<\/strong> button.<\/p>\nAdding Pages to Your Menu<\/h4>\n
\nStep 2<\/strong> – Within this pane, select the View All<\/strong> link to bring up a list of all the currently published Pages on your site.
\nStep 3<\/strong> – Select the Pages that you want to add by selecting the checkbox next to each Page title.
\nStep 4<\/strong> – Click the Add to Menu<\/strong> button located at the bottom of this pane to add your selection(s) to the menu that you created in the previous step.
\nStep 5<\/strong> – Click the Save Menu<\/strong> button once you’ve added all the menu items you want.<\/p>\nAssigning a Menu to a Location<\/h4>\n
\nStep 2<\/strong> – Assign each Theme Location with a menu. You can assign menus to multiple Theme Locations.
