Instead of choosing images by hand, you can let the carousel pull content from your site automatically. New posts can appear in the slider without you touching it again.
Switch to the Posts source
- Edit your slider and set the Slides source to Posts.
- Choose a Content Type: Posts, any public custom post type, or WooCommerce Products.
- Choose what to show under Content to Show.
Content to Show options
- Most Recent – the newest items first.
- Most Popular – by views (WooCommerce products order by total sales).
- Sticky – your sticky posts (Posts content type only).
- Random – a random selection.
- Specific Category – items from one category or product category.
Important: featured images
The slide image comes from each item’s featured image. Items without a featured image are skipped, so set one on every post or product you want in the slider. If slides look blank, see Slides Show a Blank or Missing Image.
