Enabling the Notice Bar
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Notice Bar.
- Turn on Show Notifications.
- Fill in the text fields below and click Publish.
The Settings Explained
- Notification Text – the cookie message shown to visitors.
- More Info Text and More Info Page – a link to your privacy or cookie policy page.
- Accept Text – the label on the button visitors click to dismiss the bar.
- Cookie Expiry – how long (in days) the consent is remembered before the bar shows again.
- Cookie Version – increase this number whenever your policy changes to re-prompt everyone.
Note: a cookie bar is a notice, not a full consent-management platform. If you must block cookies until consent (strict EU compliance), pair it with a dedicated consent plugin.
