The Export/Import tool lets you export and import Customizer settings in NEOVANTAGE – save your whole design to a file and load it onto another site. Perfect for backups or for moving a design from staging to production.
Exporting Your Settings
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Export/Import.
- Click Export.
- A settings file downloads to your computer – keep it somewhere safe as a backup.
Importing Settings
- On the destination site, make sure the NEOVANTAGE themeThemeA collection of templates and styles that controls how your site looks. is active.
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Export/Import.
- Choose your exported file and click Import.
- Review the live preview, then Publish.
What Transfers – and What Does Not
- Customizer options (colors, typography, layout, social links, and so on) transfer.
- Your posts, pages, menus, and widgetsWidgetA small content block you place into a sidebar or widget area. are not part of the Customizer export – move those separately.
- Uploaded images referenced by settings may need to exist on the destination site.
Tip: export your settings before any major redesign so you can roll back instantly if you change your mind.
