Enabling Maintenance Mode
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Maintenance Mode.
- Turn on Enable Maintenance Mode.
- Enter your Maintenance Message – for example, “We will be back soon!”
- Click Publish.
Good to Know
- Logged-in administrators can still browse the site normally, so you can keep working while visitors see the message.
- Remember to switch it back off when you are done – it is easy to forget and leave your site hidden.
- For a long pre-launch period, consider a dedicated coming-soon page with an email signup form.
Tip: combine this with a tracking code so you can still measure traffic to your maintenance page.
